The JUNO Awards has announced Reggae Singer Naomi Cowan as winner of the Reggae Recording of the Year category for "Welcome to Paradise".
Cowan's début album earned a nomination in the category among several other nominees including; Deh Ya by Kirk Diamond; and Ready For You by Exco Levi and Kheilstone.
The ceremony took place in Hamilton, Ontario on Saturday, March 28.
Meanwhile, It was a big night for Tate McRae. The singer won four awards including single of the year ("Sports Car"), album of the year (So Close To What), artist of the year and pop album of the year.
Along with such superstar nominees as Justin Bieber and The Weeknd, McRae was absent from the awards.
Juno Awards will Broadcast from TD Coliseum today (Mar.29), and will see presentations in the categories of fan choice, breakthrough artist or group of the year, group of the year and contemporary R&B recording of the year.
