As of Saturday, August 23, a total of 436 murders have been recorded.
This marks a 43% decrease compared to the same period last year, representing 329 fewer murders than the 765 reported then, according to the latest data from the Jamaica Constabulary Force.
The St. Andrew South Police Division recorded the highest number of murders at 52, followed by St. Catherine South and St. Ann, which each reported 38 cases.
