Despite receiving a 7 million dollar grant to carry out patching works last Christmas, 12 Members of Parliament have not yet started any work in their respective constituencies.
The revelation was made by Chief Executive Officer of the National Works Agency NWA EG Hunter, in Thursday’s sitting of Parliament’s Public Administration and Appropriations Committee PAAC.
Mr. Hunter noted that each of the country’s 63 constituencies, was gifted a minimum of 7 million dollars, for patching under the Christmas Work Program.
He said less than a quarter of the constituencies have used the full provision for works.
