Streaming service Netflix is making a big promise as they aim to drop a new movie every week in 2021. The streaming platform has at least 70 movies they want to let out of the bag.
Some of the films on the slate include the western “The Harder They Fall,” starring Regina King, Idris Elba and Jonathan Majors.
Lin Manuel Miranda and Halle Berry will make their directorial debuts with “Tick, Tick … Boom!” and “Bruised.”
Ten films will be in languages other than English.
The streaming giant is able to do this because, unlike the studios of old, many of the movies it releases are not produced in-house, but rather acquired from other companies.
Now, in light of the ongoing pandemic lockdowns and the closure of cinemas, this news will certainly come in handy.
