Former Jamaica Premier League champions Mount Pleasant secured their spot in the semi-finals of the CONCACAF Caribbean Cup last night (Tues), following a hard-fought 1-0 victory on the road against Central FC at the Hasely Crawford Stadium in Port of Spain, Trinidad.
Raheem Edwards broke the deadlock in the 51st minute, giving Mount Pleasant the crucial lead. The win was sealed in the 90th minute when Chevaughn Walsh added the finishing touch.
With this victory, Mount Pleasant recorded their third consecutive win, topping Group A with 9 points ahead of their final group stage clash against O&M FC of the Dominican Republic on September 30.
