MOTORISTS URGED TO GET REST BEFORE TRAVELLING

The National Road Safety Council, NRSC, is encouraging the motoring public, to ensure that their reflexes are not impaired, when operating motor vehicles on the nation’s roadways.

Vice-chairman Council, Dr Lucien Jones, said falling asleep at the wheel, has resulted in crashes, injury and death, across the world.

Noting that 354 people have died on Jamaica’s roads so far this year, Dr. Jones stressed the importance of motorists staying alert while travelling.

Persons are also reminded not to drink and drive and to slow down on the nation’s roads.

The comes as numerous several patrons get ready to celebrate the extended Heroes’ Day weekend with partying.
