The Jamaica Defence Force (JDF) has announced the deployment of a new 21-member team to Haiti, as part of the CARICOM Joint Task Force-Haiti (CJTF-H), in support of the ongoing Multinational Security Support (MSS) Mission.
This latest contingent includes 18 personnel from the JDF and three from the Jamaica Constabulary Force (JCF). Their mission builds on the efforts of an earlier CJTF-H advance team that was dispatched to Haiti in September 2024.
The JDF confirmed that the initial team has now completed its assignment and will be returning to Jamaica.
During their deployment, they were instrumental in helping to establish the MSS Headquarters and in laying the foundation for future operations in what has been described as one of the region’s most unstable and challenging security landscapes.
