It has been alleged that a large sum of money was removed from the cell of incarcerated deejay, Tommy Lee.
According to local reports, the sum allegedly confiscated from the deejay’s Tower Hill jail cell is said to be around $100,000.
A source, who spoke to local news media under the condition of anonymity, alleges that the money was taken when a team of correctional officers searched Tommy Lee’s cell.
In responding to the claims, Director of Corporate Communication and Public relations at the Department of Corrections Monique Pryce told local media that she was unaware of any of these accusations. Arlington Turner, Chairman of the Jamaica Federation of Corrections also denied any knowledge of the incident in question.
Tommy Lee is currently serving a three-year sentence on gun and ammunition charges at the Tower Street Adult Correctional Center in Kingston.
