Ghanaian artiste Moliy monopolized the music charts with her smash hit Shake It (To the Max). Now, she is preparing to do it again with a new single, Backie.
The overnight sensation teased the new track on her Instagram earlier today with a playful dancing video. Her followers love Backie and express their enjoyment of the song in the comments. The track seems to have been floating around since January; however, is this post a sign that she'll finally drop?
Moliy continues to be inspired by Caribbean sounds as one user called attention to the Soca-leaning rhythms: “Another hit...this time with a Soca flavor. Reppin for the Caribbean”.
Though Moliy received widespread international recognition with the Jamaican-produced afro-dancehall track Shake It (To The Max), she has been releasing music since 2020. Her first hit came from a feature on Afro-pop artiste Amaarae’s hit, SAD GURLZ LOVE MONEY and its remix with Latin-pop artiste Kali Uchis.
