Ghanaian-American singer Moliy is once and for all clearing up claims made by Jamaican music legend Shaggy, that he was blocked from remixing her hit single Shake It To The Max.
The gave a recent interview with UK Hip-Hop station Capital Xtra where she had this to say.
Moliy went on to question whether Shaggy wanted to work with her or just be on the song.
In an interview with local media at the Island Music Conference in February, two-time Grammy winner Shaggy claimed that he was blocked from the remix after fellow legend Sean Paul had similar fight over his now released remix saying, “[Shake It To The Max] was a big riddim. I know Sean [Paul] had a song; he was fighting over and over to try to get clearance for the song—they wouldn’t give him clearance. I had done a song on it; they wouldn’t give it clearance. And I think that hurt the industry in itself."
