New statements on the condition of Miss Universe Jamaica 2025 Gabrielle Henry, including a joint statement from the Miss Universe Organization and the Henry family and a statement from the Miss Universe Jamaica Organization, reveal that the beauty queen is set to return to Jamaica in days.
The joint statement between the Miss Universe Organization and the Henry family also revealed for the first time, specific details on the injuries Gabrielle sustained during her fall while participating in the international pageant's preliminary evening gown competition, the night before the final ceremony. Among her injuries are intra-cranial hemorrhaging, which caused her loss of consciousness, a fracture and facial lacerations. The statement went on to say that she required constant neurological monitoring and 24-hour specialist observation. All costs, including medical and rehabilitation bills, accommodation and living expenses for the Henry family have been covered by the Miss Universe Organization. They have also committed to covering the continued medical expenses for Gabrielle, including escorted medical repatriation flights to local facilities and ongoing treatment.
The official statement from the Miss Universe Jamaica Organization assured the Jamaican public that Gabrielle "continues to make encouraging strides in her recovery" and expects a full release from the hospital soon. In a quote, the 28-year-old expressed optimism, saying she is "looking forward to [her] return home and to seeing everyone in the near future.”
