Michael B. Jordan received congratulations from fellow stars after winning Best Actor at the Academy Awards for his dual role in the film Sinners.
Jamie Foxx praised his performance on Instagram, saying Jordan was “absolutely incredible” and deserved the recognition.
Will Smith also congratulated him, writing “CONGRATS, beloved. Makin’ History!” in a comment.
Jordan’s win makes him the sixth Black actor to take the Best Actor award, joining winners such as Denzel Washington.
During his speech, he honored previous Black winners.
The film had a major night, earning 16 nominations and four wins, including Best Original Screenplay for Ryan Coogler and Best Original Score for Ludwig Göransson..
