On Thursday, rapper MGK took to Instagram and posted a picture of himself and his mom with the caption, “introducing… my mom”.
It has been a year since the pair reconnected for the first time since she abandoned him as a child.
In his 2019 song ‘Burning Memories’, MGK previously addressed his estranged relationship with his mother, “Yeah, this one’s for the mama that I never knew / I took acid just to burn all of my memories of you / I guess now I really wanna know the truth / How’d you leave your only child at nine for another dude?” MGK was raised by his father, who died in July 2020.
Of course, after he posted the picture, his fans were elated for him, one person wrote, “She’s beautiful”, while another wrote, “I’m so happy for you I will literally cry”
