McDonald’s is teaming up with hip-hop icy girl artiste, Saweetie, for its next celebrity menu collaboration.
The “Saweetie Meal” will be available at McDonald’s restaurants starting August 6 and comes packed with all of the rapper’s favourites including a Big Mac, medium fries, 4-piece Chicken McNuggets, and a medium Sprite. Customers can also add the Icy Girl’s signature “Saweetie ‘N Sour” sauce or Tangy BBQ Sauce with their combo.
“McDonald’s and I run deep – from growing up back in Hayward, California, all through my college days – so I had to bring my icy gang in on my all-time favorites,” Saweetie said in a statement.
McDonald’s Chief Marketing and Digital Customer Experience Officer in the US, Morgan Flatley, said in a statement “We’re thrilled to team up with Saweetie, a true brand fan who puts her own spin on everything she touches across music, fashion, beauty and culture. And now she’s brought that spark and creativity to her signature McDonald’s order by celebrating her love for our food and passion for mixing things up.”
The fast-food chain had successfully launched similar limited-edition celebrity meals with South Korean pop band BTS, Travis Scott and J Balvin.
