Dancehall artist Mavado is set to perform in Jamaica for the first time in over five years, following the resolution of his long standing legal troubles.
Attorney Hugh Wildman confirmed earlier this week, that the 2018 arrest warrant against the entertainer, born David Brooks, has been settled.
He described the development as a turning point for the artist, who has also recently reunited with his son Dantay Brooks, after his murder conviction was overturned earlier this year.
The performance, expected in December, will come shortly after Mavado’s 44th birthday on November 30.
While details remain undisclosed, Wildman hinted that fans can expect “something big,” fueling anticipation for the Gully God’s long-awaited return.
