A huge crowd gathered in the British Virgin Islands on Saturday for the Black on Black Concert, eager to see Dancehall star Vybz Kartel perform live.
The event, organised by Yolo Promotions, was described as a "memorable experience." Kartel was joined on stage by Jah Vinci and Rvssian, thrilling fans with their performances.
BVI Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr. Natalio Wheatley, also made an appearance, addressing the audience with the words, “It’s good to have a legend in the house… God is the Greatest.”
Dr Wheatley’s support of the event drew criticism from some community members, particularly regarding government sponsorship. Despite the controversy, many attendees hailed the concert as a major success.
This marked Vybz Kartel’s first international performance since his release, following his Freedom Street show in Kingston on December 31.
