Dancehall powerhouse Masicka sets the tone for his next musical chapter with the release of “Keys,” the first official single from his forthcoming, highly anticipated studio album via Def Jam Recordings.
The track is Produced by Westen Weiss. The accompanying visual was shot in Portland, Jamaica, directed by Shane Creative, and produced by 4FortyFour Atelier.
Speaking on the track, Masicka shared, “Keys’ represents a new energy and space for him. He says It’s about love, but also about trust and giving someone access to your heart.
Following the massive success of his Def Jam debut album Generation of Kings, Masicka continues to evolve his sound and storytelling, bridging dancehall with R&B and contemporary Caribbean fusion.
Masicka continues to make waves.
He received a YouTube Award for attracting over 1 million subscribers to his channel and over 580 million YouTube views.
His most recent independent LP, 438, became “Jamaica’s #1 album of 2022 on Spotify” and “the first project to spend an entire year in the Top 10 on Apple Music Jamaica.”
