The "Hit & Run" hitmaker made August a month to remember!
The Dancehall star kicked things off with anticipation surrounding his third studio album, Forever Reign. Rooted in his signature Dancehall sound with a "tups" of mainstream appeal, the album came with strong production, unexpected collaborations and plenty of replay value.
The project quickly made an impact by dominating Apple Music Jamaica, occupying nearly the entire Top 20 at one point!
As if that was not enough! Forever Reign also debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, the highest position for a Dancehall album this year. Btw this is his third consecutive studio album to reach the chart’s Top 5.
Just one day after the release, Masicka then made his headlining debut at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, performing to a sold-out crowd.
He then continued his August run with a performance at Canada’s Oasis Music Festival and is set to appear at City Splash in the UK later this year.
And then, with a cherry on top, Masicka is currently leading Jamaica's trending YouTube charts with 10.1 million views.
