Mariah Carey To Receive VMA Vanguard Award

MTV announced legendary singer Mariah Carey will receive the prestigious Video Vanguard Award at the 2025 Video Music Awards.
To many fans' surprise, Mariah Carey has never won a VMA, despite several nominations throughout her career.
Past honourees such as Katy Perry, Shakira, Nicki Minaj, Missy Elliott, Jennifer Lopez, P!nk, and Rihanna...Mimi can't say the same, though!
This year, the "My All" singer is back in the running with a nod for Best R&B for her single "Type Dangerous".
The 2025 MTV VMAs will air live on Sunday, September 7, from Long Island’s UBS Arena.
Rap legend, LL Cool J, will be the host and as luck would have it, it will be a full-circle moment, as Carey herself presented him with the Video Vanguard Award back in 1997.
Mariah Carey is also gearing up to release her new album, Here for It All, which drops on September 26.
