The Savanna-la-Mar Police have arrested the man who is suspected to have set ablaze a woman and a business establishment in Great River, Anchovy in St. James on Wednesday, May 19.
The suspect was nabbed when he turned up at a hospital in Westmoreland today (Sat). He is currently being treated for severe burns and is admitted in serious condition.
Reports from the Police are that about 4:45 p.m., the accused man entered the business establishment and threw gasoline on the victim before setting her and the business place on fire. The woman was assisted to the hospital where she was admitted in serious condition.
The investigation continues.
