A man was shot dead and a woman and child wounded on Lesser Little Lane in Central Village in St. Catherine, last evening (Fri).
Dead is 32-year-old Dean Sharpe of Seaview Gardens, Kingston.
Reports are that about 6:30pm, Sharpe was at a cook shop when he was pounced upon by a gunman who opened fire hitting him.
The woman and a 5-year-old child who were in the area were also wounded.
All 3 wounded persons were taken to hospital, where Sharpe was pronounced dead and the woman and child admitted.
