Magnum Tonic Wine has been announced as title sponsor of the Caribbean’s premier music festival, Reggae Sumfest, a move that reinforces the brand’s longstanding role as a committed stakeholder championing dancehall.
Over the years, Magnum has become synonymous with high-energy experiences at Reggae Sumfest that extend beyond the main stage.
This year’s staging dubbed “A Taste of Reggae Sumfest”, will culminate in a highly anticipated moment for the genre, as two of dancehall’s more influential figures, Vybz Kartel and Mavado are set to headline the show. The moment represents a powerful shift from rivalry to legacy and reflects the kind of cultural milestone that continues to define dancehall’s global influence.
Pavel Smith, Marketing Manager of J Wray & Nephew Limited, emphasised that Magnum’s role within that narrative is both strategic and deeply rooted in purpose.
The recent international launch of the festival in Miami marked a significant milestone, highlighting DownSound Entertainment’s 10th year at the helm of Reggae Sumfest — a track record which Smith said is both noteworthy and aligns with Magnum’s vision to expand Jamaica’s global footprint.
The momentum continues locally with the official launch set for Wednesday, June 10, further building anticipation ahead of the July staging.
Designed as a one-night, high-impact experience, Magnum Reggae Sumfest “A Taste of Reggae Sumfest” is set to deliver the kind of performances, moments, and crowd connection that have made the festival a cornerstone of Jamaica’s entertainment calendar.
