Sophia Laing, wife of gospel Dancehall icon Lt. Stitchie, shared an emotional update on his condition during a London fundraiser on the “Lt. Stitchie Road to Recovery” UK tour.
She said the DJ, who suffered a major stroke in 2024, remains unable to speak fully but is showing gradual improvement through daily therapy.
Laing highlighted small milestones, including his ability to respond with sounds and maintain balance in his wheelchair.
She also noted the heavy financial burden of his care, with monthly expenses exceeding half a million dollars.
Organisers reported strong and growing community support as the UK benefit tour continues.
