The UK government will not permit Kanye West to perform at Wireless Festival, and now the festival has been cancelled.
As reported by the BBC, the Home Office confirmed that Ye has been blocked from travelling to the country after he filed an application through an Electronic Travel Authorisation on Monday.
The government said that his presence in the country would not be beneficial to the UK public, due to his history of anti-semi-tism.
Representatives for Wireless Festival have confirmed that the festival has been cancelled, as a result of the Home Office’s decision to reject Ye’s application.
The Festival also reiterated that it does not endorse Ye’s previous comments about the Jewish community, and they support his decision to make good on his full-page apology in the Wall Street Journal earlier this year.
