With growing concerns in Jamaica’s netball community about overseas players being prioritized over local talent, Sunshine Girls Head Coach Sasher-Gaye Henry has reassured that only the best players will be selected for the national team.
Concerns arose following the inclusion of English-born players Rhea Dixon and Brie Grierson in Jamaica’s squad.
The duo played key roles in the Sunshine Girls' recent 3-0 Test series victory over South Africa at the National Indoor Centre in Kingston.
Henry emphasized that selection is based on performance and merit, ensuring that Jamaica fields the strongest possible team.
