Lizzo has announced her first children’s book, Lil Lizzo Meets Sasha B. Flootin’, set for release on September 8 through Simon & Schuster’s Books for Young Readers imprint.
The picture book follows a young girl and her flute as they discover confidence, friendship, and creativity.
Inspired by Lizzo’s childhood learning the flute, the book will also include a QR code linking to an original song created especially for young readers.
Lizzo said the story reflects her own journey of finding purpose through music and hopes it encourages children to embrace their passions.
Publisher editor Kendra Levin said the book continues Lizzo’s message of self-worth and empowerment for young audiences.
