Lila Ike says it's album season! The reggae songbird seems to be teasing new music in a post to Instagram earlier today, Ziptocrats!
The carousel post, featuring photos and videos from an apparent music video shoot, was captioned “Friday we tun up every speaker loud #TooLateToLie #AlbumSeason #NewMusic.” Following the clues, it seems the #NewMusicFriday is going to have an extra special submission from the ‘Solitude’ singer. The comment section on the post was flooded very quickly with support from our favourites from the reggae music industry. Protoje, who we can thank for discovering Ike all those years ago, replied with comments saying, “The Champ is here, “Its Too Late For Yall” and affirming Lila’s ‘Album Szn’ statement. Other comments came from Trinidadian hip/RnB singer Jimmy October, who recently appeared in Ike’s music video for her recent single with British singer H.E.R. and Jamaican dancehall artiste, Cham.
