Some customers of the Jamaica Public Service, JPS, will see a slight increase in their bills come next month, while others will see a slight decrease.
This, as the Office of Utilities Regulation, O-U-R, has issued its decision on the JPS 2019-2024 Tariff Application.
O-U-R Public Education Specialist Elizabeth Bennett-Marsh said the O-U-R’s decision in December 2020, showed an average overall decrease of 3.2% in electricity rates, based on the estimated Independent Power Purchase (I-P-P) costs presented in the tariff application.
