Last night (June 18), rising Dancehall star Kyodi officially launched his debut album ‘146’ at Jangas Soundbar and Grill.
Though the event got off to a late start, it quickly filled up with fans and supporters, creating a lively atmosphere for the emotional and highly anticipated project.
‘146’ is deeply personal for Kyodi as the project is inspired by the passing of his mother, Paula Hunter, who died on June 14 last year.
Speaking with The Zee, the “When Mi Nice” artiste shared how the loss shaped the album’s message and tone. Take a listen.
The 14-track project includes several collaborations. Kyodi also spoke about the artistes and producers who contributed to the album.
