Dancehall deejay KipRich has been arrested and charged by the St. Catherine North police after being listed as a person of interest.
He has been charged with Use of Audio and Audiovisual Communication to Promote Criminal Activity.
The Police say the charges come after the entertainer did a dubplate in support of the Spanish Town-based "One Order" gang following the death of its leader.
The dubplate has been making the rounds on social media.
He is to appear before the St Catherine Parish Court later this month.
Meanwhile, upcoming Dancehall artist Skippa, who was also listed as a person of interest, has been released from police custody.
Both KipRich and Skippa were named by the St. Catherine North police following a surge of violence after the reputed leader of the notorious gang Othneil "Thickman" Lobban was shot and killed by law enforcement.
