Kim Kardashian delivered an emotional account testimony in a Paris courtroom during the trial of 10 individuals accused of perpetrating her 2016-armed robbery.
In the over 4-hour-long session, Kim recounted her experience, describing how the men gagged and robbed her of approximately $10 million worth of jewellery during Paris Fashion Week. She said that she was certain that she was going to be sexually assaulted by the men, “I did think I was going to die," she told a Paris court Tuesday.
One of the accused, a 69-year-old (one of two of the 10 defendants to admit to the crime), prepared a statement, which was read aloud, asking for for-giveness. “I am sorry for the pain I caused you, your husband, your children and those who love you,” he wrote. “Of course you can't undo the past, but I hope this letter will help you forget the trauma you endured because of me." During the reading, Kim started to cry and said, “I’m obviously emotional about it, this experience changed my life, and it changed my family’s life.” In response to the apology, she said, “I do appreciate the letter, I forgive you for what has taken place, but it doesn’t change the emotion and the feelings and the trauma the way my life is forever changed.
The trial, which began on April 28, 2025, is expected to conclude on May 23, 2025. The suspects, dubbed the "Grandpa Robbers" due to their ages, face charges including armed robbery, kidnapping, and complicity.
