Kim Kardashian is being dragged online for her parenting skills... again!
The reality star is facing major backlash after photos of her vacation in Rome surfaced online, showcasing her 12-year-old daughter, North West, with what appears to be a dermal piercing.
The piercing, placed on North’s right middle finger, caught major attention online since dermal piercings are known to be painful, prone to infection, and tricky to heal. Many fans questioned why North was allowed to do such a body modification, with one critic asking, “Who even agrees to pierce a 12-year-old like that?”
North’s outfit only fuelled the controversy, as she was photographed in a black corset, skirt, and knee-high boots, with electric blue hair styled into long ponytails and extravagant nails. Critics said the look was “too mature”, pointing out that corsets are traditionally worn by adult women to shape their figures, not for young girls. Short skirts featured in her TikTok videos also added to concerns that Kardashian is letting her daughter grow up way too fast in the spotlight.
Fans on Reddit and TikTok didn’t hold back, with one user writing, “She’s 12. What is Kim doing?!”
Kim hasn’t responded to the uproar directly, but during the 2025 Met Gala, she praised North’s “positive energy”, calling her a “big critiquer” of fashion and someone who encourages people to “just be you”.
