Trinidadian soca group Kes The Band is set to make their Tiny Desk debut on the popular web series by media company NPR, becoming the second Trinidadian soca act to grace the platform after Machel Montano in 2025.

The news was announced yesterday that the group, headed by frontman and lead singer Kees Dieffenthaller, would drop their performance on May 8 at 7 AM.

Tiny Desk Concert is one of the highly-acclaimed flagship series on NPR Music’s YouTube platform, boasting performances from the world's biggest stars, most notably Usher, the late Mac Miller, K-pop band BTS, and Megan Thee Stallion.

Though previously featuring talent almost exclusively from the US and Europe, the platform expanded in the late 2010s to include Latin and Caribbean genres. Jamaicans who have been featured include Shaggy (alongside Sting), Sean Paul, Protoje, Chronixx, Lila Iké, Sevana, and Koffee.
