Comedian Katt Williams revealed that meeting the late musician Prince at age 12 inspired him to believe in his own potential.
Speaking on the IMO Podcast with Michelle Obama and Craig Robinson, Williams said Prince showed him that he didn’t need to change himself to succeed.
Williams recalled dating a younger cousin of Prince’s at the time and having a “super deep conversation” with the musician, which left him confident in his abilities.
He described Prince’s early accomplishments, signing a music deal, producing an album, and playing 26 instruments, as proof that talent and purpose mattered more than physical attributes.
