The Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs is encouraging motorists to pay traffic tickets promptly to help reduce court backlogs across the island.
The ministry says drivers who do not intend to contest a traffic offence should pay their tickets before the due date instead of waiting for a court appearance.
Traffic tickets can be paid online using a driver's licence number and ticket number using the Tax Administration Jamaica, TAJ, eServices portal or the TAJ Mobile app.
Officials say timely payments allow the courts to focus on cases that require judicial attention, helping to reduce delays and improve access to justice.
