Jamaica won three medals yesterday (Tues) in a sensational second day at the World Athletics Under 20 Championships in Cali, Colombia.

The junior athletes turned in solid performances, winning two silver and a bronze medal.

The freshly minted national junior record holder Bouwahjgie Nkrumie and shot putter Kobe Lawrence mined silver medals, while the 4x400m mixed relay team, won a historic bronze in the event.

That medal count could improve today, providing that defending champion and world leader Tina Clayton, along with compatriot Serena Cole, advance to the championship round, of their event later this evening.
