President of the Jamaica Teacher’s Association, J-T-A, Jasford Gabriel says the education sector should be ready for another year of remote learning if it receives the requisite resources.

His comments come as Covid-19 cases and hospitalisations continue to rise.

Mr. Gabriel says teachers and students will need to be provided with laptops and tablets to ensure efficient remote learning.

He says the sector will also have to look at implementing good connectivity in several communities and schools.
