Jamaica Teachers Association President, Jasford Gabriel, says the Association awaits details from the Education Ministry about the plan for summer school.
He says the Association wants to hear what the plan entails, who it involves, and the terms and conditions under which it will be held.
The Education Ministry is considering summer school as a strategy to assist students affected by learning loss due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Mr. Gabriel says from the outset, the Association has not supported the plan for summer school and will not relent from that position.
