The Jamaica Teachers Association JTA says it is very concerned that there seems to be an attack on the nation’s teachers.
Yesterday, while members of the education sector and police search for missing St. Ann teacher Ruchelle Williams, reports emerged that a St. Elizabeth teacher had her throat slashed on Tuesday evening.
JTA President. Winston Smith, says teachers are going missing, being physically hurt or killed.
Mr. Smith is appealing to persons to desist from harming teachers and to give them the respect they deserve.
