JPS CONTRACTOR HOSPITALIZED AFTER BEING ELECTROCUTED

A Jamaica Public Service contractor is being treated at the hospital for injuries he received after being electrocuted while on the job this morning.

JPS says the contractor, who is employed by M&O Traders, one of the company’s emergency response contractors, was injured while responding to a customer issue, in Trench Town, Downtown Kingston.

The company says during the exercise, the contractor was injured. 

JPS is investigating the matter.

Members of the Jamaica Fire Brigade responded to the incident and assisted the injured man.

Acting Public Relations Officer at the brigade, Kerry-Gayl Forbes confirmed that the contractor was taken to the Kingston Public Hospital for treatment.
