As the JISA Preparatory Schools Athletics Championship heads into its final day at the National Stadium, St Peter and Paul Prep have placed themselves in a commanding position to retain their title, having surged to 82 points after Friday’s events.
The defending champions pulled ahead on Day 2, building a solid 24-point lead over their closest rivals.
Vaz Prep, a powerhouse with a history of multiple championships, currently sits second with 58 points, while Mona Prep, who had been among the early leaders, has fallen back to third place with 49 points.
With a crucial day of competition ahead, all eyes will be on the battle for the podium, but St Peter and Paul are clearly in pole position to defend their crown unless Vaz Prep can stage a dramatic final-day comeback.
