Lobby group Jamaicans for Justice JFJ, is calling on lawmakers to legislate key aspects of the protocols governing Body Worn Cameras BWC's, including mandating the wearing and activation of the devices.
The group's Executive Director Mickel Jackson says failure to wear or activate BWC's, without reasonable explanation, should result in strong disciplinary actions.
She said the measures are not just mere recommendations, they are a necessity for a society, that values justice, transparency and the rule of law.
