The Jamaica Football Federation has issued a statement following reports that National defender Damion Lowe was addressed with a racist slur in a game on Sunday evening.

The JFF says it strongly condemns racism in any form, whether on or off the field and we stand ready to give whatever support is necessary to Damion.

The incident took place in a game in the MLS between Inter Miami and DC United. The MLS is investigating the incident.

In July,  Reggae Girls player Trudi Carter was the target of racist taunts coming from a section of the crowd in Mexico at the Concacaf Women’s tournament.
