The appointment of the next Jamaica national football team head coach has been delayed by about a month after the Jamaica Football Federation technical committee recommended extending the selection process.
JFF President Michael Ricketts said the move will allow more applicants to be considered, with the current interim staff expected to remain in place until after the Unity Cup.
Interim coach Rudolph Speid and assistant Miguel Coley are among the leading candidates, with Speid facing both support and criticism over recent results.
The decision will now be made after the Unity Cup in England, where Jamaica will compete later this month.
