JESSE ROYAL JOINS ESSENTIAL NOTES SEMINAR

Two-time Grammy-nominated reggae superstar Jesse Royal has been confirmed as a panelist for Essential Notes – The Seminar, a FREE educational music seminar scheduled for Wednesday, March 12, 2026, at 6:00 PM in Lecture Theatre N1 at the University of the West Indies.

Jesse Royal joins an impressive panel of industry leaders including Gary Burke, European music executive; Natalie Prosper, Grammy and Oscar Award-winning music executive; and Ainsley Morris, professionally known as Notnice, Grammy-winning music producer.

The seminar is conceptualized and produced by artist manager, A&R, and author Demonie Wilson, professionally known as Squidell.

Essential Notes is designed to equip students and emerging creatives with practical insight into Jamaica’s music and creative industries, with a focus on strengthening the connection between creativity, culture, and the business structures that support sustainable careers.

Widely respected for his conscious lyricism, cultural integrity, philanthropic efforts, and global reggae presence, Jesse Royal emphasized the importance of initiatives that invest in industry development and talent growth, stating that, “Engagements like these that truly seek to stimulate the other side of our creative industry are things we should welcome with open arms, as Jamaica has never been short of talent but more so individuals and entities that can help to develop all the emerging talent as well as create new opportunities in this fertile space.”
