Recording artiste Jermaine Edwards and his team have expressed excitement following the continued global response to the hit single “Beautiful Day”.
The song recently gained additional recognition when Rapper Akon performed a special version during his concert in Rio de Janeiro before an audience of around 200,000 people.
Now, it has been revealed that Akon will officially release his version of the song on October 4.
Meanwhile, in a statement shared with the media, Singer Jermaine has addressed misinformation circulating regarding Rushawn; who captured hearts with his viral cover.
It's rumoured that Rushawn received USD 1 million or that he is a 5-year-old who wrote the song. However, Jermaine Edwards says that these claims are completely false and could pose a serious risk, making Rushawn and his family potential targets for robbery or other harm.
He said no monetary transactions or arrangements, including USD 1 million, have been made between Akon and Rushawn.
