The long-awaited Verzuz battle between super producers Jermaine Dupri and Diddy has finally been given the green light.
This battle has been brewing since the “Money Ain’t a Thing” creator called out Diddy in 2021, challenging him to go hit for hit.
The Bad Boy founder is responsible for the careers of iconic acts such as Notorious B.I.G. and Mary J. Blige, while So So Def’s leader has helped usher in big names such as Bow Wow and Da Brat.
Aside from their long list of production credits, both men have achieved their own chart success, which is why a Verzuz of this magnitude was one of the urban legends for a while.
However, Dupri has confirmed that the time has finally come for a hip-hop face-off like none other, this year.
This is the first time Diddy and Dupri’s Verzuz has been given a solid update.
