According to an update, provided by The Jamaica Millennium Motoring Club, Panton was assessed immediately after the incident by the on-site paramedic team, and was admitted to hospital where he underwent a series of X-ray and CT scans.

X-ray and CT scans confirmed that Panton suffered more extensive injury.

Co-Driver Mike Fennell Jr says Panton has ten cracked ribs, two fractured clavicles and damage to his ball joint in one of his shoulder.
