Jay-Z Cleared of Charges

Share

The lawsuit accusing Hip Hop giants JAY-Z and Diddy of sexually assaulting a minor 25 years ago has been dropped after questions arose about the validity of the claims.
Last Friday (February 14), the plaintiff’s attorney filed a notice in federal court to voluntarily dismiss the case, which can be refiled later.
Both JAY-Z's and Diddy’s legal teams supported the dismissal.
The “Blueprint” rapper called it a "victory" and criticised attorney Tony Buzbee for pursuing false claims, labelling the lawsuit as baseless.
The original suit, which was filed in October 2024, accused both Diddy and JAY-Z of raping a 13-year-old girl at a 2000 MTV Video Music Awards after-party.
JAY-Z denied the allegations, offering evidence to challenge the woman’s story, to which the plaintiff later admitted to errors in recalling the event.
While JAY-Z's legal issues have been resolved, Diddy continues to face criminal charges and over 40 civil lawsuits regarding sexual misconduct.
