The woman referred to as ‘Jane Doe’ who accused rapper Jay-Z of sexually assaulting her as a teenager in 2000 has admitted she made up the allegations.
In an audio recording obtained by ABC News, the accuser, Doe, told private investigators that her attorney pressured her into suing the “Blueprint” rapper.
When questioned about her previous claim that Jay-Z sexually assaulted her at a VMA afterparty when she was 13, she changed her story. An investigator asked, "He was just there, but he didn’t do anything sexual to you?"
"Yeah," she admitted, contradicting the lawsuit she filed in December 2024, which was dismissed last month.
Doe also claimed her attorney, Tony Buzbee, pushed her to go after the 55-year-old rap star, who is reportedly worth $2.5 billion. "He was the one that kind of pushed me towards going forward with him, with Jay-Z," she said. When asked if she meant Buzbee specifically, she confirmed, "Yeah."
